Perhaps you are asking yourself, "Just what exactly is a Yawp?" We're so glad you asked. Yawping is simple. You just throw back your head and yell, "YAWP!" at the top of your lungs. For our family, a YAWP is a way of affirming our joy in being alive. It is strange, and a little bit odd, and freakishly fun to do out the car window. Our Yawping is one of those little family things; like a secret handshake. It draws us closer, gives us a giggle, confirms our status as a solid unit.
We love to YAWP. We love to share our lives and experiences with friends. These are our stories. Welcome.
one year. one photo. one day at a time.
Blogging has convinced me that it is in the dailiness of our lives that we find real beauty. It is in the ordinary that we really dwell. I want to keep, to record more of the beautiful ordinary. But how? By taking lots and lots of pictures. Three hundred and sixty five days, three hundred and sixty five pictures. My hope is that I will end the year with a record of one year in the life of Team Lawson. I hope that we will have more memories, more captured moments to recall. And, if I'm lucky, I may just learn a thing or two about photography along the way. ~ Relyn
My desire to blog probably has something to do with the way I feel compelled to record every good thing that happens. My memory is so terrible that I feel the need to physically capture everything. I have huge plastic bins full of old journals and photo albums. Thank God the world has gone digital. We are running out of storage room. I think of this blog as my net for catching joy. My family is my greatest earthly joy. This blog is a way to capture some of those magical little moments that add up to one amazing life. ~ Relyn
