Antitdote For a Case of the Grumpies

I had to share this little ray of sunshine. I don't know about you, but this time of year is hard for the Lawson family. The testing pressure really heats up about now. And, although the school year is close to over, it feels as though we are miles from the finish line. The last vestiges of winter seem to drag on and on, and we get so impatient for spring.

Maybe that's not your story. Whatever the story, we all get grumpy. And we all could use a little sunshine. If you click here, you will recieve a sure fire cure to whatever ails you. I'll say a little more after you click. Go ahead. You know you're curious.

Wasn't that adorable? And precious?

And humbling?

It makes me ask myself when the last time was that I sang with that much enthusiasm. What about prayed with that much energy and fervor?

... And a little child shall lead them.

Blessings on you and yours. From our house, to yours.

The Reason For The Hope That Is In Me

The angel said to the women, "...He is not here; he has risen, just as he said." Matthew 28:6

"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20b All I believe, all I know, all that is good in this life comes down to one simple fact. It is this: I serve a Risen Savior. My heart swells to this one thought. I serve a Risen Savior! He Lives I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him He's always near. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. ~ Alfred H. Ackley.

Disney, Disney, Disney

Our family had such a wonderful time at Disney this past Christmas break. We went from December 26 to December 31. It was amazing, amazing, amazing!! God has been so good to us to allow a trip like this. Words just won't do the trip justice so I will add lots of pictures, too.

We decided that buying a package was the easiest for us, so we stayed at a Disney budget resort. We chose All Star Movies. The roof our our building had the toy soldiers along the edge and you walked up the stairs in a bucket of soldiers. The pool was huge, really huge. I counted
50 people in it, and it felt empty. There were 3 certified lifeguards on duty at all times. The whole thing was just amazing. The hotel itself felt like a Super 8 that had been Disney-ized. It was affordable and not fancy, but loads of fun for kids of all ages. It was clean and comfortable. Everyone was helpful and seemed happy to have us join them for some magic.

Epcot has a place where you can go send email and instant pictures. It was a lot of fun to play with. This is one of the pictures it took of us.

This is Sloane near the entrance to Epcot. The landscaping at Disney is really beautiful. I could have taken pictures of every topiary. I think maybe I did.

This picture is from our Princess lunch in Norway. Sloane met many princesses, but Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) is her favorite. Dining with royalty may have been the best thing we did. It certainly made dreams come true for my own little princess. Looking at her face in those special moments made me tear up. She had so much joy and excitement.

This is Sloane eating a croissant in Paris a little way from the Eiffel Tower. One of the best things we did was buy the meal plan. Food can be so expensive in an amusement park and trying to pinch pennies and keep track of costs can be nightmarish. Then, even with all that effort, you still spend small fortune. We just bought the food plan and had not one worry, and plenty of delicious food. Speaking of the food plan, if you click here you will be able to read a great article I found about traveling to Disney. So, I'll let her do the work and just show you a bit more of the vacation fun before we head to Bible study.
